CLASS  MANAGEMENT TIPS

1. Construct a code of conduct with the whole class and don´t break it yourself!!!
2. Arrange the seating to help
3. Stand up when you are directing an activity.
4. Look at the students
5. Use your hands to direct and encourage your students. Use the back of your hand to point.
6. Vary your tone of voice
7. Don´t be afraid of silence or noise.
8. Use pair and group work to increase Studen Talking Time .
9. Don´t ask Do you understand? Ask a student to explain instructions given by you.
10. Don´t go to class unprepared
11. Don´t be overfriendly, inconsistent or unfair.
12. Admit your ignorance.
13. Consult students.
14. Demonstrate rather than explain.
15. Exploit real events.
16. Divide the board.
17. Reseat chatter boxes.
18. Don´t lose self-control !!!!

20. Don´t give boring classes.

• Use Google Images to explore samples of “Class Code Posters”.
• Using both texts and poster samples, you should design a class code poster to discourage class disruptive behavior.
• Feel free to choose media.
• Be prepared to share with your classmates.
